Connie Talbot, so young that her front teeth haven't even grown through yet, impressed the judges with her voice as she sang her way through the Michael Jackson track Ben. Her beaming smile as she finished the song appears to have proved an irresistible finale to the contest as she won the public vote and qualified for the final. Judge Piers Morgan described her as "amazing", saying she had the "sweetest smile in the world" and was, "pound for pound", the best six-year-old singer in the world. Simon Cowell, who Connie said she was a big fan of before the show, told her he "didn't like it" to boos from the crowd before he added: "I loved it." Connie, from the Midlands town of Sutton Coldfield, has become a global internet sensation since her appearance in the heats. She moves forward to the final with the Bar Wizards, pera-singing Paul Potts, ventriloquist Damon Scott, breakdancing group Kombat Breakers and all-singing all-dancing 11-year-old Bessie Curzons. Mrs Talbot, 38, said: "Connie never stops singing whether it is at home or on the way to school so it only seemed right to encourage her. It is fantastic that she has done so well and it would be wonderful if she won the whole thing.
