Description:
How to cook the famous Australian dessert. Recipe - 4 egg whites, 1 teaspoon white wine vinegar, 1 tsp vanilla essence, 1 tsp cornflour, 1 1/2 cups sugar, pinch of salt. Add salt to egg whites and beat until stiff. Gradually add the sugar. Then add cornflour, vanilla and vinegar. Pour into the mould as shown in the vid. Cook in slow oven (250°F/120°C) for 75 minutes. Turn oven off and leave another 15 minutes. Cool. Refrigerate. Serve with whipped cream and fruit. I used cider vinegar in this one - which is why it's brown on top. wallyworld ::: Favorites The best way to do it is to use fresh egg whites at room temperature beaten in a metal bowl so that the whites are super stiff. Then you don't need the foil or a tin and it looks like a snow-capped mountain top when cooked.
