No it's not. Sure, you can belt in full chest voice, but there's such a thing as "mixed" belting too, which is applying a coordination of chest and head resonance. That's actually more common when belting HIGHER notes, and it's what Jessica usually does, but sometimes she squeezes too much when she's trying to sustain the connection, so the tone sounds very closed. She'd be able to go even higher if she kept it open.

sorry one more thing lol...proper belting and controlled belting won't damage your vocal ability..but belting like she does here, with the scratching of her vocal chords is dangerous ..i'm not in anyway disrespecting her, because she is very talented.

belting is the vocal technique of singing in full chest voice...basically singing at your loudest without hurting yourself.
